Aaron Jay

Aaron Jay graduated from California State University Chico with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies and Geography. Aaron has been a local business owner since 1998 and has a through understanding of our community, and is in tune with our local market. He currently is a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, California Regional Multiple Listing Service, and Sierra North Valley Association of Realtors.  Aaron holds the designation Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI), certification of Military Relocation Professional (MPR), and is a licensed real estate broker. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the North Valley Association of Realtors. Aaron typical serves the greater Butte County area including: Chico, Durham, Forest Ranch, and Paradise, as well as parts of Tehama and Glenn Counties. Aaron is an Eagle Scout with Palms and was a charter member of the Active 20-30 Club of Chico. As a member he co-founded the Margarita Mix-Off, helping to raise money for children’s charities throughout Butte County. He also served as Vendor Coordinator for the Chico Air Show. During the summer 2013, Aaron assisted with the launch of City of Trees Realty in Chico. When not working, he enjoys camping, boating and water sports, aviation, traveling, technology, laughing, and most of all spending time with his wife Tamara and their two children.

Another house sale with Aaron

This is our second time selling a home with Aaron and he continued to be helpful, responsive, easy to work with, and flexible. He did a great job guiding us through the process and was receptive to our input and ideas. Also, his photographer took great photos of the home - they came out multiple time to take pictures throughout the day. The sale went quickly and smoothly and we continue to appreciate Aaron's support through what can be a stressful process.

Aaron Jay - Outstanding Realtor

I feel so fortunate to have worked with Aaron Jay of City of Trees Realty in the sale of my brother's home in Chico. He was patiently and actively involved in coordinating every step of the process to prepare the house for sale with his expertise and his network of local contacts. Without him, the process would have been daunting to say the least. He shared his knowledge of the market to determine an appropriate price. His communication skills are top notch. In spite of rainy weather, the home was only on the market for two weeks before it was in escrow. If I were to buy or sell another home in Chico, my first call would be to Aaron Jay.

Fantastic to work with.

Aaron was just fantastic to work with. City of Trees helped my father with his home buying in Chico after the fire in Paradise in 2018. My dad had nothing but great things to say so I reached out to Aaron. He was always smiling and ready to answer any question I had and streamlined all the documents in a way that made them so easy to understand. I highly recommend Aaron and City of Trees!

Wonderful experience

As a Canadian who just moved to America I was looking for my first home. Things are handled and done very different than this back in canada. Aaron was amazing and helpful he was patient and kind and explaining everything in fact even after we close the home he came by to check in to make sure everything was okay. I would surely recommend him to anyone looking for a great realtor I will definitely be using him again on the next purchase .
